Minutes for 2013-06-25

We agreed to cancel the next scheduled meeting on July 9th, given vacation and travel plans. The next meeting will be on July 23rd.
The group then reviewed the updated terminology page. Nick agreed to improve the definition and justification for ‘configuration space’. It is not clear that we need the separate term ‘revision’, since that term has some very specific meanings in the PDM world, not matching the suggested configuration management meaning. Nick is to refine the wording for the terms ‘variation point’ and ‘configuration context’, mentioning effectivity in the latter.
Next, the group reviewed the resource definition page. Nick agreed to replace the warning against the use of version-specific links with a more open discussion of appropriate link choices, since there are several scenarios in which version-specific links are the right choice.
The group agreed to allow POST to create versions other than the first version of a concept resource - done in updated Configuration Operations page.
