Minutes

- V3 Scenarios
- Recap of agent/worker discussion from the previous meeting
- Workers which are themselves OSLC Automation provider
- TODO: Michael Fiedler to describe this interaction in the primer
- Possible drawback : worker likely to not contain plan data
- Solution: Provider requesting the automation posts the plan to the worker
- Push workers and polling worker - determining worker capabilities
- Push: Provider interrogates workers capabilities and availability and decides who gets the job
- Pull: Workers advertise/register capabilities and pull matching jobs
- TODO: need wiki updates to scenarios. Owner is Vaibhav Srivastava or delegate.
- Virtualization scenario introduction and teardown discussion
- flow is currently implemented in Martin’s product, tear down not supported via OSLC except through button in UI preview
- options for teardown trigger mechanism:
- set state in request or result
- DELETE on resource
- automation plans to perform teardown
- desire: generic way to initiate tear down
- Do we need a separate subdomain or vocabular for execution/business services which start/run for long periods of time/stop
- i.e. the automation is to initiate the long running entity and it is referenced from the result, but is itself another resource
