Q&A

Q: Where are we with the definition of product ?

The WG has defined the draft proposal for Product definition, there are multiple RDF examples. These proposals need to be compared with the RELM PD tool RDF examples just published by the Cfg Mngmnt WG.

Q: Where are we with the definition of product variant ? Additional extensions to the Product definition and RDF example of product variant configuration parameters - these were segmented as Variant Expressions and Effectivity parameters, based upon the well known ISO STEP standards such as AP214 and AP239.

Q: What examples are there of navigation ? A Lyo delegated UI demonstrator was built that queried a Product base resource, then provided the list of available versions, this example did not use the variant expressions as a further qualifier. This demonstrator used multiple SPARQL queries to return the associated artifacts like Requirements and Models.

Q: What is the status with respect to definition of the configuration context ? RDF examples exist. Resource behaviour was not prescribed.

ACTION: For next meeting to look at the detail of the configuration management needs associated with base resource, version and view resources.
