Parham brought up the ongoing work at the OMG to investigate how the OSLC can support interoperability, starting with concepts from OMG’s SysML:

We discussed vocabulary progression, and the challenges of migrating to different vocabularies and ontologies. The strategies of maintaining the integrity of a given server, and the even more difficult challenge across service providers.
The scenario of this group defining a vocabulary of terms that are more authoritatively owned by another organization. At some point that other organization produces its own vocabulary. How do we migrate systems to this new vocabulary?
