QM Scenario: Reporting

This scenario focuses on the needs of consumers that retrieve quality management data via query and need to map or correlate the responses into a single data model in a data warehouse.

Scenario

Gather metadata about quality management data being collected:

Facilitate query building and results mapping

• Alternative: leverage existing queries (service provider pre-defined queries)

Gather initial set of quality management data to prime the data warehouse:

Facilitate efficient retrieval of a bulk of data

Gather periodic updates to quality management data to keep data warehouse current:

Facilitate efficient queries for only changed and/or deleted data

Gather quality management data to produce a real time report

Facilitate efficient retrieval of potentially complex data needed for a real time (live) report. e.g. template based document generation.
