0. Welcome

SkipPletcher joined us today. Welcome to our workgroup Skip!

1. Implementation Discussion - ArthurRyman

ArthurRyman - My development organization is in the planning phase for our 2010 products and this specification is being actively discussed. I expect to get some prototyping resources soon.

LawrencePutnamJr - My company is currently completing an integration but should have some resources available in Feb. 2010.

ArthurRyman - We need to development implementations of both the EMS 1.0 service provider and consumer. How have other OSLC workgroups approached this?

ScottBosworth - Other workgroups do prototyping and product development to implement the specs. They do not create separate reference implementations, i.e. the effort is focused on implementing the spec in a real product. They work out the interop testing among themselves. They use their business partner relations staff to help coordinate the effort with business partners. The Change Management (CM) workgroup produced a test facade which filled the role of a reference implementation. The Eclipse Mylyn project is creating a client-side framework for consuming the CM service. In the future, IBM may be able to host implementations on its Developer Cloud.

2. Primer Status - ArthurRyman

ArthurRyman reviewed the overview sequence diagram of the Monitoring and Controlling scenario.

3. Software Metrics Definition Status - LawrencePutnamJr

Deferred since LeeFischman was absent and he has the only open action item, for describing linear calibration.

4. Other Business

None. Recall that next meeting is 2010-01-08. Happy Holiday Season and New Year to all!
