Minutes

1. Review working draft of EMS 1.0 Part 0: Primer - Arthur (50 min.)

  • reviewed updates from review at last telecon
  • reviewed sequence diagram
    • Need to make the architecture clear, i.e. that in EMS 1.0 the PPM tools are service providers and the estimation tools are service consumers (clients)
    • This architecture was agreed to by the workgroup members since it can be implemented quickly given the current architecture of the products that plan to adopt it.
    • Future versions of the spec will probably define services provided by estimation tools
    • [ACTION] Arthur to add architecture clarification to Part 1 of the spec. DONE
  • reviewed Investment Risk
    • Next step: add probability distributions to the scenario DONE - included triangular and quantile probability distributions.
  • reviewed RDF/XML response example
    • URI to estimate collection is missing - this is needed by the estimation tool to POST the estimate back to the portfolio management tool
    • [ACTION] Arthur to correct the XML and complete the Initiation scenario DONE - POST directly to project URI rather than introduce explicit collection resources.
    • Next step: describe the Re-estimation scenario
