[Oslc-steeringcommittee] OSLC BoF at Innovate

Hi Sean,
Besides the technical topics we should also have others to discuss:
I would add e.g. "Looking for leaders - How to get involved with OSLC"
similar to our Feb. webcast, but also promoting OSLC User Groups
"future directions of OSLC" could be a subtopic of this.
Do you have more info how it will be organized?
Will there be rooms for break-out sessions and are the people asked to bring their lunch to these rooms
or will it be in the big lunch room?
If there different rooms/corners in a room, we could have signs for different topics and people could pick where to go. If we have enough speakers, we could do physical round tables in small groups, too.
Bye and have a nice day
Rainer

Thanks for the feedback.
As for speakers, I think we will have quite a few beyond whoever is listed in the program. We should talk more about how we want to run it, but one thought given was to run it a little bit like an unconference and break up into areas of the room to discuss various topics in more detail.
Topics could include:
- practical use of OSLC with IBM Rational tools
- intro to OSLC and Linked Data
- future directions of OSLC (even greater breakdown possible, e.g. Embedded Systems, Mobile, Cloud, ...)
- implementing OSLC (with Eclipse Lyo)
Please let me know if you need/want me to create a speaker profile for you.
Thanks.
Best regards,

Hi Sean,
for the title, I would vote for "Enabling your Lifecycle Integrations with OSLC"
The abstract looks good to me.
You can put me down for speaker (hoping others will join).
Would be great to have Mats or other "end users" of OSLC as well.
We should only present/talk from StC point of view, if we do not have enough user success stories to share.
If questions regarding governance/OASIS come up, we can give a brief answer and refer to the StC session next day.
BTW, can we add a link to the StC session with the abstract?
Bye and have a nice day
Rainer

Hello OSLC Steering Committee members,
As was suggested in previous conversations, we have secured a spot for an OSLC BoF at Innovate 2013.
The BoF will be over lunch on Tuesday, from 12:15 - 1:15 PM.
I have been asked to provide a final title, abstract, and speakers list by *April 22* (Monday!) for inclusion in the printed program.
Here are some suggestions for the title and abstract, please throw darts.
Title:
1. Simplifying your Lifecycle with OSLC
2. Simplifying your Lifecycle Integrations with OSLC
3./4. Enabling your Lifecycle [Integrations] with OSLC
Abstract:
Since 2008 OSLC has been an open community building practical specifications for integrating software. In that time 13 specifications, covering domains such as ALM, PLM, ISM, and DevOps, have been advanced in the community [1]. Today, it is possible to connect over 30 tools using OSLC [2], and that list keeps growing. OSLC has helped many organizations simplify how the build, maintain, and use lifecycle integrations to facilitate their processes and achieve their business goals. Whether you're responsible for building or maintaining lifecycle integrations, or responsible for the business outcomes you need your lifecycle tools to support and enable, this BoF will give you an opportunity to discuss your lifecycle integration challenges with those who have already applied OSLC to help overcome their own.
