that's especially important if the spec is still allowing the "non-stable"
paging....the next page may not contain the rest of the result that started
on the first page if it were allowed to break. Of course, leaving out the
partial node from the first page and still not getting it on the second
page may not be much better, just a bit less "exit" code for the consumer.
